Jim Parker |
[RETIRED] ASCCA Director |
Jim Parker is a UK Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Management Accountants, who retired from full time employment in 1994. He worked for thirty years as a Director of subsidiaries of two IK multinational groups and has since carried out a number of consulting assignments in finance and general management.
Jim has recently held voluntary finance related positions supporting not for profit organisations, one of which was the Australian Network on Disability. He joined Computer Pal for Senior Northern Beaches in 2007 in order to be a student in a Picasa course. Jim’s volunteering spirit led him to become a trainer at Northern Beaches, where his particular interests in genealogy and digital photography have been of great benefit to many students. In 2009 he accepted the role of Treasurer for the Northern Beaches and became a member of the committee of this Club. Jim enjoys the community spirit within his local Computer Pals Club and was invited to joining the ASCCA Board to fill the casual vacancy in the important job of Treasurer. He took up this position in August 2011 and the added responsibility of Company Secretary from May 2012 to November 2014. |
Jenny Willcox |
ASCCA WA Director |
Jenny lives on the south coast of Western Australia and first became a Director on the Board of ASCCA in November 2011. She was at that time the only Director outside New South Wales.
Jenny has a wealth of experience in the business and not for profit sector behind her – having spent twenty years with a national trading company based in Perth and another twenty at the Walpole Community Resource Centre, where she was the driving force establishing the Walpole Seniors Computer Club (and a swag of other community initiatives). After a chance meeting with ASCCA President, Nan Bosler at a conference in Sydney in 2007, Walpole CRC became affiliated with ASCCA and has taken a lead role in mentoring other CRCs in their establishment of Seniors Computer Clubs ever since. Jenny holds a number of qualifications from business to training and has a passion for all things lifelong learning and technology focused. Jenny has represented ASCCA in the NBN Rollout initiative and Digital Switchover Taskforce; and acts as a conduit between affiliated clubs in WA and ASCCA. Jenny has recently rejoined the Board of ASCCA and plays a pivotal role in the new and exciting initiatives planned for regional Australia, including Western Australia, particularly the SWADE project. |
